Hello Panthers and Panther Families!

We’re halfway through the semester, and it's time for our mid-semester check-in! We’re so grateful to everyone who has joined the PTSA this year—thanks to you, we’ve reached our highest membership level in over a decade! Your support is making a difference in our school community.

As we head into the holiday season, there are some key dates to keep on your radar:

• Holiday Spirit Wear: Get your pre-orders in by Monday, November 11 to ensure you have Panther gear in time for the holidays!
• Senior Parent Fall Check-In Meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 6pm.
• Winter Wear Spirit Wear: Don’t miss out on our cozy Winter Wear Spirit Wear Collection!  In stock and available for purchase today. 
• Sponsor a Pie for Staff: Show our staff some holiday love! Sponsor a pie by November 19 to help us give every staff member a special treat.
• Reflections Entries: Don’t miss out on sharing your creativity! The deadline to submit your entries for the Reflections program is November 15.
• Texas PTA Scholarships: The deadline for Texas PTA sponsored senior and faculty scholarships is also November 15. Be sure to get those applications in! (Applications for the CHHS PTSA sponsored scholarships will open in early December and close in February.)

Let's thank our CHHS teachers and staff this Thanksgiving with a pie! Donate below and express your gratitude for our incredible CHHS staff.

Each pie is $20. Donate one pie or donate many pies. Our goal is to provide all 175 staff members with this yummy, holiday treat. (We have 80 pies donated so far- almost half way to our goal.)  Thank you!

Attention CHHS Seniors and Faculty! 

Don’t miss your chance to apply for Texas PTA scholarships—applications close on November 15th! Seniors can apply for $1,000 scholarships for higher education, and faculty members are eligible for $500 scholarships for training and continuing education!

Apply today and take a step toward funding your future. (Applications for the CHHS PTSA Senior Scholarship application will open in December.)

The CHHS PTSA Reflections Entry Deadline Has Been Extended to November 15th! 

There’s still time to unleash your creativity and share your unique interpretation of this year’s theme: Accepting Imperfection. We can’t wait to see your artistic vision come to life!

Explore six categories for entry—dance choreography, literature, photography, visual arts, film production, and music composition.

Some parent/adult volunteer opportunities are shared weeks in advance, while others come up on shorter notice—signing up keeps you in the know so you never miss a chance to lend a hand!

All campus volunteers must complete a background check with GCISD annually. Volunteering details, application, and handbook are found here.  

Don't delay! During the first few weeks of the school year, it may take 2-3 weeks to process background applications.

Congratulations to Colleyville Heritage High School PTSA for achieving Good Standing status with Texas PTA for the 2024-2025 school year!

Good Standing Status is achieved by fulfilling five Texas PTA Standards of Continuing Affilation requirements including compliance with the IRS as a 501(c)3 non profit.

Thank you to our dedicated members and volunteers for supporting students, teachers, and families at Colleyville Heritage High School and in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD year after year.

Texas PTA announced its fifteen legislative priorities for the upcoming 89th legislative session, with a focus on advocating for Texas students, teachers, and families. 

These priorities were developed with valuable input from PTA members and leaders across the state. Through listening sessions and surveys, Texas PTA gathered insights and ideas to ensure that our priorities truly reflect the needs of our communities. Thank you to everyone that participated in this process. 

Lead Priorities include: 

• Improve Public School Funding
• Resolve Teacher & Staff Shortages
• Increase School Safety
• Transform School Accountability
• Keep Public Dollars in Public Schools
